Chris Brown Sued After Dog Viciously Attacks Housekeeper

Dog

The plaintiff in a dog bite lawsuit filed against American musician Chris Brown won a victory in court after a Los Angeles County judge upheld the bulk of her claims against Brown. According to the lawsuit, the housekeeper was injured by Brown’s Caucasian Ovcharka shepherd who viciously attacked the housekeeper “ripping off chunks of flesh.” The judge ordered that the trial would begin in January.

An attorney representing Brown challenged 6 of the housekeeper’s 9 claims filed against Brown in July 2021. The housekeeper has filed the lawsuit against Brown’s company, Black Pyramid. A civil defense lawyer representing Brown said that the company did not own the dog and further argued that the allegations made in the lawsuit were either redundant or lacked the necessary evidence. The judge dismissed one claim for negligent infliction of emotional distress on the grounds that it duplicated another negligence claim made in the lawsuit.

Timeline of the attack

According to the housekeeper, who is suing as a Jane Doe, she was hired by an outside agency to provide cleaning services at Brown’s mansion in Tarzana, California on December 12, 2020. She alleges that she was taking out the trash to an outside garbage bin when the dog, named Hades, attacked her “out of nowhere.” The dog allegedly bit her face, her arms, and her body, according to the complaint. The housekeeper alleges that the dog was literally biting huge chunks out of her face and arms. She screamed out for help, but no one came to her assistance.

According to the lawsuit, the woman was lying on the ground after the attack barely able to see because blood was covering her eyes when Brown approached her talking on his cell phone. The housekeeper alleges that Brown ordered his security team to round up Hades and the other dogs located on the premises “before police arrived.” The plaintiff alleges that the defendant was instructing his security team to destroy evidence and flee the scene while she was lying on the ground bleeding. At that point, Brown is alleged to have left the woman on the ground bleeding without calling for assistance or rendering aid. The housekeeper alleges that she firmly believed that she had been left there to die.

The housekeeper further alleges that Brown took the dog and drove it hundreds of miles north to another county where he was later found. A chip traced the dog back to Brown. She says that the county’s animal shelter later determined that the dog was dangerous. The dog was euthanized as a result of the attack. The plaintiff alleges that Brown was running an illegal breeding business for vicious attack dogs and selling those dogs off of the property.
