Known for his balance of kindness and courage, Trevor Mylin is an experienced trial litigator and a valued member of the Matassini Law Firm team. He began his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County, where he developed the trial advocacy skills he now uses to fight for his clients at every stage of their cases. Above all, his focus is on helping his clients at every turn—guiding them through the legal process, protecting their rights, and advocating relentlessly on their behalf.

A native Floridian, Trevor Mylin always envisioned himself in the courtroom and took intentional steps early on to make that goal a reality. He attended the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and later earned his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Trevor was an active member of the Trial Team and focused his studies on sharpening his criminal litigator skills. He graduated cum laude in the Spring of 2020 and earned a place on the Dean’s List.

Recognizing that real courtroom experience would be essential to becoming the best advocate possible, Trevor began his career as an Assistant State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida. In that role, he handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, building strong trial advocacy skills and demonstrating a willingness to take cases to trial when necessary.

After three years serving the State of Florida, Trevor transitioned into civil litigation, where he expanded his skill set by analyzing cases from a defense perspective. This experience enhanced his ability to challenge opposing arguments through discovery, depositions, and strategic motion practice.

Today, Trevor draws on his diverse background to serve as a dedicated advocate for his clients. As a member of the Matassini Law Firm, he focuses on criminal defense with a clear mission: to help his clients at every turn. He is committed to guiding clients through the legal process, protecting their rights, and advocating relentlessly on their behalf to make a meaningful difference in their lives—one case at a time.
